Position Summary:
Greater Holy Temple Christian Academy seeks an Elective Teacher/Specialist to foster curiosity in students within their field of expertise (such as Art, Gospel Choir, Dance, or STEM), while operating within a Christ-centered learning environment. This role is responsible for planning and delivering instruction as an elective for grades K-8, managing classroom and studio spaces, actively contributing to school culture, and supporting daily operational duties across campus.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum: Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction for students in grades K-8, differentiating instruction to meet a wide range of developmental levels and skills.
Faith Integration: Incorporate biblical principles into instruction and model Christian values within the classroom and school community.
Classroom & Studio Management: Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment conducive to hands-on learning, creative expression, and problem-solving.
School Culture & Duties: Actively contribute to a positive school-wide environment by modeling school culture and performing assigned duties (e.g., hallway monitoring, lunch/recess supervision, arrival/dismissal support).
Materials & Resources: Oversee supplies, technology, instruments, tools, and equipment safely and responsibly, including inventory and maintenance.
Assessment & Student Work: Evaluate student progress and showcase student achievements and projects (e.g., showcases, performances, exhibitions, assembly performances, parent nights) across the school campus and community events.
Collaboration & Staff Life: Participate in staff devotions, professional development, and all-school activities while maintaining strong communication with families.
